For this Army, wars are won in the opening moments of each set. We mix edgy Alternative/ Modern Rock from the 80’s to today with classics and / new future hits just starting in heavy rotation on radio. This band rocks out with fun, unpredictable live performances that turn any room into a party.

We anticipate our following to continue to grow as we work our way through show after show and add more dates.

Please check the schedule frequently for new show dates as we invade a club near you!

PAM’s Dark Back-side - A 2005 Retrospective

While each player in Plastic Army Men has shown from time to time examples of extraordinary talent, we now take this moment to look back at the some of the funny (and not-so-great) moments of this local super-group.
A side not regularly seen by our fans. So enjoy this rare look into something we affectionately call…
PAM’s Dark Backside

  • JV wins hands down in the: "I attract the biggest gig pigs" category
  • Vinci also gets a nod with a winged a version of Prince's Kiss that actually wasn't half bad… or just that everyone at the Crow’s Nest was too drunk to care.
  • Z is honored with the most technical malfunctions. Including mistaking which outlet was blown... then winds up pulling the plug for the entire PA system at Kites (good move)

The “Out of Key” Hall of Fame:

  • Ira – with “Are You Gonna Go My Way” at the Beachcomber. Nothing starts the night off right like a playing Lenny Kravitz with a guitar tuned to a drop-C key for Drowning Pool And...oh yea...I'll go back and listen to Sweet Child - OOOHHFAHHH. Note to self: only one shot in between sets.
  • Z – with “Right Now” and “Summer of 69” - Nothing sets up a major train wreck like when it’s only the one guitar player starting off the song… and he does not remember the correct chords
  • John Z - the breakdown bass line for "I will follow".  Gotta admire his unwillingness to give up. Eventually it will go back to the chorus
  • And if timing is everything.. then we are fukced thanks to Barry’s unique drumming style on Everlong (a song we only played 500 times) and Sweet Child O Mine at the OL. (No, the bridge is not 30 seconds into the song.)

But lets remember – this is not only about individual efforts, but our efforts as an entire band. So let's not forget the impromptu version of Limelight at Jimmy's Blues Bar.  People have been arrested for less.

And the entire band gets an Honorable mention in the category of most bachelorette parties played
(where honestly folks – we all are winners here!)

See you in 06 as Plastic Army Men go on the "Hell Just Froze Over" tour of the Bible Belt.

As Always - Thank you!
